San Jose’s SAP Center is the premier event venue in San Jose, hosting professional sports, concerts and events. Opened in 1993 as the San Jose Arena, it has since been known as Compaq Center, HP Pavilion and currently SAP Center.
With their signature tennant, the San Jose Sharks, being the mainstay the arena has hosted other notable teams and events. The popular arena football team, the San Jose SaberCats, called SAP home, as well as the roller hockey team, the San Jose Rhinos.
